There’s something unforgettable about the first moment you see the Giant’s Causeway. No photograph ever prepares you for the scale of it — the endless stepping stones stretching towards the sea, shaped over thousands of years and wrapped in stories of giants and legends.

This painting was inspired by that exact feeling of arriving there for the first time and instantly wanting to climb. To stand at the very top, arms stretched wide, and for a brief moment feel small in the landscape yet somehow giant in spirit.

Over the years I’ve taken many friends and family to visit the Giant’s Causeway, and every time I watch the same reaction unfold — curiosity turns into excitement and before long everyone is stepping from stone to stone to reach the highest point. It’s a place that invites play, wonder and a little bit of adventure no matter your age.
